UK Gundog Graded Tests

Penny is both an instructor and Assessor for the UK Gundog Club Grading scheme

The grades are aimed at pet owners of gundog breeds or mixes  and provide an excellent structure for your training and a springboard to go on to external tests or working a dog in the shooting field . All training is done kindly with positive methods .

Our Basics Grade 1 sessions cover all aspects of the Grade 1 assessment. Novice Grade 2 for that level.
Grade 3 and 4 can be looked at one to one or on various field trips as specific ground is needed for these.

Assessments are externally assessed Grade 1 and 2 at our usual venue
Grade 3 and 4 and 5 in conjunction with Leanne Smith at her training ground near Exeter .

There is no pressure within our sessions for any client to take an assessment. It is entirely their choice  as all the training is aimed at an all round great pet dog whatever your goals going forward.

However we also run mock test workshops for those who would like to see if they are ready usually held a fortnight before a test date . We aim to hold at least two test dates a year for grade 1 and 2 .
